It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas Kits!

christmas kits making processes

Hello, welcome to the Cornflower Lane Studio. Thank you for stopping by. Today I'm going to show you what I've been creating over the last couple of weeks.

About two weeks ago I started to plan my Christmas Journaling Kits. I started by writing down what I wanted to include in the packs. This always gets out of control, I just can't stop adding more and more things. I was planning on doing a smallish kit to fit inside one of my handmade envelopes and I'm not sure how I think I'm going to fit the long list of things I've written down into one fairly small envelope. Maybe I should start making A4 or even A3 envelopes, although I'd still probably overfill it!

Next is the making. I use my Cricut to cut out my envelopes and then after folding and gluing them, I make the fasteners and attach the string.

The following day I lay out all of the completed envelopes and then added some of the other pieces to each pile. There was more cutting, folding and gluing to do too and I love the repetitiveness of these jobs and I always have a creative You Tube channel on to listen to while I get on with them.

My new favourite thing are wax seals. I love them so much, I love making them and also using them in my journaling. I like the extra element they add to a page. So I obviously wanted to add these to the kits as well. I'm doing them on greaseproof paper so they come off perfectly and then you can just glue them onto your journaling page.

This is everything in the kits so far. I've still got a few more pieces to make and add and I'm hoping it'll all fit into the envelope.

Thanks for joining me today and I hope you enjoyed seeing a bit from behind the scenes.

Take care Ex
