Our Story
Welcome to Cornflower Lane
Picture a quiet country lane on the edge of the village of Little Bramley, with cornflowers along the verges and a wood at the bottom of every garden. Two friends live here, side by side.

Hattie lives at Lane End Cottage, the last house on the lane. She runs the florist on the village green and cycles there each morning with her dog, Clemmy, running alongside. Her journals are stuffed with pressed flowers, ticket stubs and scribbled notes, and she never goes anywhere without a roll of washi tape.

Next door, at Rose Cottage, lives Mabel. A retired teacher who grew up by the sea in Mallaig, she keeps three hens, a yarn basket by her chair and a cake tin that’s never empty. Her tabby cat, Lizzie, is usually curled up asleep in the armchair. With Mabel, there’s always time for a cup of tea and something new to make.
Hattie and Mabel are the heart of the world we've imagined, and everything we choose for Cornflower Lane is something we can picture on Hattie's desk or in Mabel's workbasket.
