Hattie's Pressing Kit - Flower Pressing Set

At Lane End Cottage, Hattie’s garden is full of wildflowers, and she can never resist pressing a few to keep. This little kit has everything you need to start pressing flowers of your own, just the way she does.

Pick a few flowers on a dry morning, lay them in the press and, two or three weeks later, you’ll have delicate pressed flowers to keep in your journal, frame or use in cards. Then sow the wildflower seeds and grow some more for next summer.

What’s inside

• Cornflower pocket flower press: laser-cut and assembled in England, with a vintage cornflower print, 5 sheets of corrugated card and 8 sheets of sugar paper, held together with stretchy silicone bands (12 × 8cm)
• Wildflower seeds: a cornfield annual mix of cornflowers, poppies, corn marigolds and chamomile, approx. 3g, enough to sow 1m². All flower in their first summer and are perfect for pressing.
• Floral washi tape: a wildflower design for adding your pressed flowers to journals and cards (15mm × 10m)
• 3 Flower Diary cards: printed on handmade rag paper, with space to note each flower, where you found it and when it was picked and pressed

Sowing your seeds
Sow in March or November on bare soil in a sunny spot and rake in lightly. The seeds also grow well in pots.

Packaging
Your kit arrives in a kraft gift box with a ribbon, lined with tissue, with the flower press wrapped ready to unwrap. It’s ready to give as a gift.
